New Website Improves Customer Experience and Prioritizes Transparency
SAN DIEGO — San Diego Community Power has launched a redesigned website to improve access to information about the agency and its services, as well as empower customers to learn about programs and practices that can help them save on their energy bills.
“San Diego Community Power was created to put people at the center of our region’s energy decisions,” said San Diego County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer, Chair of Community Power’s Board of Directors. “This redesigned website makes it easier for families to see how we’re expanding clean energy, understand their service options and find tools that can help lower their energy bills.”
With streamlined navigation and mobile-first design, the updated website now better serves Community Power customers, whether they are residents, businesses or community organizations.
New webpages like Fuentes de energía y Proyectos de energías renovables dive into where the energy that customers receive come from, breaking down its different energy sources (like solar or wind), as well as the current and upcoming renewable energy projects that are delivering clean power to Community Power’s service area.
The website also offers new educational resources and interactive features that allow customers to tailor their user experience to their individual needs. The Rebates and Incentives Finder, for example, allows users to filter through Community Power’s available programs and other offers so that customers can easily identify relevant resources.
“No one wants to pay more for their electricity than is absolutely necessary, which is why this website was designed to help our customers find new ways to save,” said Karin Burns, Chief Executive Officer of Community Power. “From identifying programs they may qualify for with our rebates and incentives finder, to learning energy saving tips through our explainer videos, the website offers something for everyone.”
