Solar Advantage’s Community Power program, also known as the Disadvantaged Communities Green Tariff (DAC-GT) program, supports the development of local small-scale solar projects in disadvantaged communities (DACs) as defined by CalEnviroScreen 4.0.
Community Power invites qualified developers to propose local small-scale solar projects through an annual public bidding process. Approved solar projects are expected to add up to 20.16 megawatts (MW) of clean local energy to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) allocation. Once projects come online, qualified customers will receive a 20% discount on their electricity bill for up to 20 years without having to invest in a rooftop solar system.
The third Solar Advantage Request for Offers (RFO) is now open. To view RFO materials and submit a proposal, visit our solicitations page.
Community Power invites interested developers to learn more about the RFO at a virtual webinar on September 9, 2026 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (PT).
