Community Power provides clean and competitively priced energy to residential households, businesses and public agencies across the cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, La Mesa and National City and the unincorporated areas of San Diego County.

Since we began serving customers in 2021, we’ve introduced unprecedented choice into the region, offering four different electricity service plans that empower our customers to save money and save the planet.
As a not-for-profit public agency, we prioritize the needs of our local communities — not shareholders. We reinvest revenue back into the communities we serve through lower electricity rates, education and customer programs that contribute to our goal of 100% renewable energy by 2035 or sooner.
Our Community Advisory Committee, or CAC, includes two community representatives from each of the seven communities that we serve and advises our Board of Directors, ensuring that the voices of our local communities are represented in the Board’s decision making process.
Power100 Champions are local businesses and organizations who partner with us to opt up to 100% renewable energy, shaping a more sustainable future for the San Diego region.
Our Community Clean Energy Grants support projects and programs that create healthier, more sustainable communities in the San Diego region.
