San Diego Community Power worked with the Building Electrification Institute (BEI) and Steven Winter Associates to create a Building & Housing Stock Analysis to help inform the design of Community Power’s customer programs.
To complete the analysis, the project team created a parcel-based inventory of all buildings in Community Power service territory (the Cities of San Diego, Chula Vista, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, La Mesa and National City and the unincorporated communities of San Diego County), identified common building typologies in the region and analyzed the building stock based on prioritized technical, ownership and social vulnerability indicators to help inform equitable and retrofit program design.
