San Diego Community Power and the County of San Diego lead the San Diego Regional Energy Network (SDREN) — 10 programs that make clean energy upgrades more accessible for every community in San Diego County.
In August 2024, the California Public Utilities Commission approved SDREN as one of seven Regional Energy Networks, which serve 94% of California’s population. SDREN advances energy efficiency and equity across the region by providing access, incentives, assistance, education and resources to the communities that need them most.
Energy efficiency upgrades, expert guidance and building-wide improvements
Energy coaching, no-cost assessments, incentives and upgrades
Co-developed solutions aligned with community priorities
Training for contractors, career pathways for job seekers and incentives for project developers
Technical support for local governments, educational institutions and community organizations
“With any business, there are 100 things you can do that affect the environment. Making the choice to opt up to 100% renewable energy is one of those choices that makes an actionable impact in our community.”
“We became a Power100 Champion because Helix Charter High School cares about the work that we do with our students. We knew we couldn’t keep it in the classroom. We had to take it to that next step.”
“Sometimes you feel like what you do isn’t going to matter, but opting up to Power100 is something that I can have control over, that I can make a decision about, and that’s huge.”
