San Diego Community Power Network

The Power Network is a coalition of local, community organizations who are dedicated to empowering their communities.

About the Power Network:

By joining the Power Network, organizations establish a formal relationship with Community Power. Participants of the Power Network can enter into contracts to perform services on behalf of Community Power, such as outreach support and translation services. They are also encouraged to share feedback on Community Power service and offerings, as well as shape advocacy efforts around sustainability.

The goals of this initiative are to:

  • Build relationships with community leaders in order to achieve common goals
  • Support the implementation of Community Power initiatives and offerings
  • Create a network of partners to expand Community Power’s reach, boost recognition and build trust
  • Share ownership of Community Power’s mission and vision for a sustainable and equitable future for the San Diego region

  • Leveraging a Connection to a Regional Public Agency: Utilize your partnership with Community Power when applying to funding opportunities through letters of support, connecting with other organizations and governments affiliated with Community Power or directly partnering on the grants.
  • Keeping Your Communities Informed: Learn about regional efforts from a network of organizations working to achieve 100% clean energy by 2035 to share with your community.

 

How to Join the Power Network:

Community organizations and non-governmental organizations interested in joining the Power Network are invited to participate in a rolling Request for Qualifications process. This may include, but not be limited to:

  • Nonprofit organizations and foundations
  • Schools, school districts and higher-education institutions
  • Hospitals and healthcare organizations
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Community Power member agencies
  • California special districts and joint powers authorities
