At a National City garden that will soon run on solar power and serve as a hub for electricity education, community members and leaders from San Diego Community Power, San Diego Foundation and Calpine Energy Solutions announced that they are granting more than $1.2 million toward local clean energy and green workforce development projects in San Diego County. This second round of Community Clean Energy Grant awards nearly triples the amount of funding awarded last year to local nonprofits for clean energy programs.
