The Power Network is a new way to partner with like-minded community organizations and help San Diego Community Power shape a sustainable future for the San Diego region. Community Power invites local community-based organizations and non-governmental organizations interested in working with Community Power to complete a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to join the network. (If you are not sure if this is you, please reach out to Melissa Elder, Community Engagement Associate, at melder@sdcommunitypower.org to confirm.)
Benefits to joining the Power Network include:
- Forging Dynamic Partnerships: Join a network of like-minded community groups to share ideas, events, projects and advocacy efforts around a cleaner, more sustainable future.
- Receiving Funding to Support Ongoing Work: Enter into contracts to work directly with Community Power to support the implementation of our strategic and program goals.
- Expanding Your Organization’s Impact: Amplify your reach through marketing, co-branding, sponsorship and grant opportunities with Community Power.
- Guiding Community Reinvestment: Directly help shape Community Power’s reinvestment in communities by providing input on its program implementation and strategic planning.
- Leveraging a Connection to a Regional Public Agency: Utilize your partnership with Community Power when applying to funding opportunities through letters of support, connecting with other organizations and governments affiliated with Community Power or directly partnering on the grants.
- Keeping Your Communities Informed: Learn about regional efforts from a network of organizations working to achieve 100% clean energy by 2035 to share with your community.
The RFQ will be open until November 11, 2024 at 5 p.m. You can view the RFQ here.
