Bill & Payment Assistance

San Diego Community Power is here to support you. As an SDCP customer, you still qualify for the same electricity discount programs you may already participate in with SDG&E. You will remain enrolled and do not need to reapply when you begin SDCP service. Here are some of the financial resources available to you!

Financial Resources

If you are currently enrolled in a financial assistance program, you will not need to reapply when you enroll into SDCP service, and you will remain enrolled in your currently active program. Programs include:

    • Medical Baseline Allowance: Provides households with certain medical devices or climate control needs with an additional amount of electricity to use at the lowest rates.

COVID-19 Bill Assistance

Beyond the programs mentioned above, residential customers are eligible to receive bill assistance to address the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you have outstanding bills that are past due and are a CARE or FERA customer, you may qualify for debt forgiveness through the Arrearage Management Plan (AMP). AMP is a 12-month payment plan that forgives 1/12 of your debt after each on-time payment of the current month’s bill and protects you from disconnections. After twelve on-time payments, your debt will be fully forgiven up to a maximum of $8,000. Visit the AMP website today to enroll.

You may qualify for additional financial assistance programs from our member agencies.

Upcoming Enrollment:

If you are currently enrolled in a financial assistance program, you will not need to reapply when you enroll into SDCP service.

SDCP customers will receive the California Climate Credit of $60.70 on their October statement to provide summer bill relief.
