You’re opting out of San Diego Community Power? We’re sorry to see you go, because you’ll be missing out on some program benefits we think are pretty important.

We are a not-for-profit energy provider that reinvests revenues into the communities we serve, providing you cleaner energy choices by the people who use it and programs that benefit you. We remove shareholders from the equation because we believe that the only people who should benefit from your electricity use is you.

It’s because so many customers like you have enrolled in programs exactly like ours that new renewable energy projects are being built right now all over the state of California – to satisfy the increased demands for clean energy. Together we’re working towards a clean energy future.

You have the right to opt out from SDCP at any time once you are eligible for our service and you will not be charged any fees by SDCP if you opt out or if you cancel electric service altogether. If you do decide to return to SDG&E after the 60-day opt out period (60 days from your start date with SDCP service), SDG&E will charge a one-time Customer Re-Entry fee of $0.56 for each account returning to full-bundled SDG&E service. You will also be prevented by SDG&E from returning to San Diego Community Power for a minimum of twelve months.

If you are currently a Power100 customer but no longer wish to receive Power100 service for 100% renewable electricity, you can choose to opt down to our standard 50% renewable service, PowerOn!

If you would still like to opt out of service, you can use the form below. You may opt out at any time after your service is scheduled to begin with us.

Please have your bill handy. You’ll need your SDG&E account number to opt out. Please be sure to input only the first 12 digits of your account number including any leading zeros and omitting any spaces.
