Opt Out of San Diego Community Power

You’re opting out of San Diego Community Power? We’re sad to see you go. You’ll be missing out on local program benefits and cleaner energy for you and your family.

San Diego Community Power works in partnership with our customers to increase access to clean energy, reduce carbon emissions throughout the San Diego region and build cleaner and healthier communities. We reinvest revenues back into our local communities and remove stakeholders from the equation because we believe that the only person who should benefit from your electricity use is you.

It’s because so many customers — like you — have enrolled in services like San Diego Community Power that the demand for renewable energy is increasing and new renewable energy projects are being built throughout California. Together, we’re building a clean energy future.

You have the right to opt out of our services at any time. You will not be charged any fees by San Diego Community Power if you opt out or if you cancel electric services altogether.

If you do decide to opt out and return to SDG&E after the 60-day opt out period SDG&E will charge a one-time customer re-entry fee of $0.56 for each account returning to full-bundled SDG&E services. (The 60-day opt out period is 60 days from your start date with San Diego Community Power, or, if you are a solar or Net Energy Metering (NEM) customer, within 60 days of your annual NEM true up date in your scheduled enrollment year.)

You will also be prevented by SDG&E from returning to San Diego Community Power for a minimum of 12 months.

Please have a copy of your SDG&E bill handy as you will need your SDG&E account number. Please be sure to input only the first 12 digits of your account number. Include any leading zeros and omit any spaces.
