Board of Directors
Community Power Board of Directors holds regular meetings on the fourth Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. at the Don L. Nay Port Administration Boardroom, at 3165 Pacific Hwy., San Diego, CA 92101. The Board of Directors also holds special meetings as needed. Meeting agendas are posted within the respective meeting date below in compliance with the Brown Act.
Community Power Board of Directors meetings are generally held in person. As a convenience to the public, Community Power also provides a call-in option and internet-based option for members of the public to virtually observe and participate at its meetings. In the event of a technical issue causing a disruption in the call-in option or internet-based option, the meeting will continue unless otherwise required by law, such as when a member of the Board of Directors is attending the meeting remotely pursuant to certain provisions of the Brown Act.

Finance and Risk Management Committee
The Finance and Risk Management Committee (FRMC) is a standing committee of San Diego Community Power’s (Community Power) Board whose purpose, as stated in section 5.10.2 of Community Power’s Joint Powers Agreement (JPA), is to provide input and oversight on matters related to the agency’s funding plan, its fiscal year budgets, financial policies and procedures, risk management policies and procedures and other responsibilities as may be directed by the Board. Chair Ditas Yamane, Vice Chair Genevieve Suzuki and Director Michael Inzunza serve as members of the FRMC. FRMC meetings are scheduled on the third Thursday of the month at 3 p.m., at the City Chula Vista Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, CA (exceptions noted). Meeting agendas are posted within the respective meeting date below in compliance with the Brown Act.

Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Purpose of the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is to advise the Board of Directors and provide for a venue for ongoing citizen support and engagement in the strategic direction, goals and programs of Community Power. Committee members are representatives of the diversity in Community Power’s seven member jurisdictions. The officers for the CAC are Matthew Vasilakis (City of San Diego) as Chair, Lawrence Emerson (National City) as Vice-Chair, and Aida Castañeda (National City) as Secretary. For 2025 calendar year, the CAC is expected to meet every second Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m., except for December when they will meet on the first Thursday.
Community Power CAC meetings are generally held in person for the CAC and members of the public. As a convenience to the public, Community Power also provides a call-in option and Internet-based option for members of the public to virtually observe and provide public comments at its meetings. Please note that in the event of a technical issue causing a disruption in the call-in option or Internet-based option, the meeting will continue unless otherwise required by law, such as when a committee is attending the meeting remotely pursuant to certain provisions of the Brown Act.
